Chad is a Socal local at heart, being born and raised in Southern California. At the age 18, Chad ventured north to Oregon to obtain a BS in psychology. It’s during his time in Oregon that he was introduced to the large outdoor arena of the Pacific Northwest and it’s captivating landscape. After achieving his BS in psychology, Chad changed career paths to work in the zipline industry and headed to Alaska to live and work. From there, his career took him to upstate New York, followed by North Carolina. Chad had one last career interjection, working as an arborist in Colorado until 2017, eventually making his way back to California.
For the past 17 years Chad has been fortunate to climb, run, and explore all of the places he’s resided in. Chad is passionate about guiding, climbing, trail running, splitboarding and sharing his deep love and connection of the outdoors with his guests, family and friends. Chad has guided guests all over the High Sierra and Joshua Tree and is an AMGA Apprentice Rock and Alpine Guide, certified Wilderness First Responder, and Cirque Running Lead Trail Guide.
