Jan Czyzewski

Hailing from the Right Coast, Jan grew up in New Jersey and attended college in northern Vermont. After years of exploring the his local range, the Green Mountains, heading out west was the next natural step. As it does with so many, Tahoe instantly grabbed Jan’s attention and quickly became his local residence. Jan’s been recreating in the Sierra for over 13 years and has been professionally guiding for 9 of those 13 years. Jan is professionally trained as an AMGA ski guide, certified AIARE course leader and wilderness first responder. When Jan’s not guiding guests in the Sierra backcountry or teaching avalanche educational courses, you can find him trail running and fastpacking all over the Sierra, typically off the beaten path.
